How is the Type Limit Enforced?

During license validation DeployLX will verify that the type being validated is one of the enabled list of types. If they are not enabled then license validation will fail.

Enabling Types

Types do not have to be enabled in the license. Instead they can be enabled later on the customer's machine when they enter a serial number or by entering an extension code.

To enable a Type with a Serial Number
...Or Extension Code

Select the license containing the Type Limit.
Select Generate Code | Generate Serial Number from the License Tab to open the Generate Serial Number form.
Select the Type Limit from one of the Initialize... groups.
Select Pick Types.
Select the features to enable and select OK to close the form.
Continue filling out the form and select Generate.

Select the license containing the Type Limit.
Select Generate Code | Generate Extension Code from the License Tab to open the Generate Extension Code form.
Select the Type Limit from the Extension group.
Select Pick Types.
Select the features to enable and select OK to close the form.
Continue filling out the form and select Generate.

Secure Storage

The limit uses DeployLX's Secure Storage service to track state on the client machine. Secure storage imposes additional security requirements that may require additional configuration
